This Fabulous X-wing Starfighter cake was made by Cake Central member Sleepy_Baker. This X-wing Cake was carved out of cake and covered in fondant. If you look closely, you can see R2-D2 in the ship. The wings were made using gumpaste. This baker did a great job getting the wings to stand out correctly. I have done wings similar to this before and it can be difficult to get the wings to stay on correctly. The cake below the Starfighter was a chocolate cake covered with dark chocolate Swiss meringue buttercream.
